About the role
Lead the delivery of TEQ's finance services, ensuring accurate, compliant and efficient payroll, billing, accounts receivable, debtor management and expense processes. Drive continuous improvement across finance systems, controls and reporting while providing leadership, advice and support to stakeholders and the finance team.
Key duties:
- Lead and continuously improve payroll, billing, accounts receivable, travel and expense management systems, processes and data integrity.
- Manage payroll operations, including oversight of managed service providers, payroll enquiries, bulk transactions and banking activities.
- Oversee billing, receipting, debtor management and expense processing to ensure accurate, timely and compliant financial administration.
- Maintain effective financial controls, policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations and audit requirements.
- Deliver financial reporting, reconciliations and analysis to support decision-making, debt management and operational performance.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team, providing expert advice, training and representation on finance systems, operations and governance initiatives.
For this role, we will consider your:
- Demonstrated experience providing expert advice and stakeholder support across payroll, billing, accounts receivable, debtor management, receipting, and expense management functions.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to drive process improvement and optimise finance service delivery.
- Sound knowledge of payroll, billing, accounts receivable, debtor management, receipting, credit card expense processing, and expense acquittal practices.
- Proven leadership capability, including coaching and developing teams delivering finance and payroll services.
- Experience using financial and payroll systems, with a strong understanding of data quality, controls, compliance, and continuous improvement. Experience with NetSuite and Aurion is highly regarded but not essential.
- Professional accounting qualifications (CA ANZ, CPA Australia) or equivalent relevant experience.
