About the Role
In this role, you will contribute at a senior level to the design, implementation, and evaluation of project initiatives, ensuring alignment with FSQ's strategic objectives and governance standards. You will provide expert advice, manage risks, and lead change management processes that facilitate successful project outcomes and benefits realisation.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for developing and applying best practice project management methodologies and tools that support effective project delivery. Monitoring and reporting on the implementation progress of the Commission's recommendations will be critical to ensuring timely and successful outcomes.
Your role involves preparing well-researched, clear, and credible briefings, reports, submissions, and correspondence tailored for senior executives and governance stakeholders. You will lead the coordination of project initiatives, working collaboratively with a range of internal and external stakeholders to manage expectations and drive positive change.
Other responsibilities include:
- Identifying and analysing strategic and operational issues, providing sound recommendations to senior leadership.
- Establishing and maintaining robust monitoring and reporting frameworks aligned with governance requirements.
- Researching and synthesising complex information to develop comprehensive papers and briefing documents.
- Supporting FSQ leadership, including the Executive Advisor, Deputy Directors, and Director, by providing high-level project advice and assistance.
- Fostering a positive, safe, and innovative workplace culture in accordance with government human resource policies and practices.
About You
The ideal candidate will bring highly developed project management skills with demonstrated success delivering projects within large, complex organisations. You will be skilled at preparing precise and credible briefs and papers for senior decision-makers and possess strong written and verbal communication abilities.
You should be politically astute, able to synthesise diverse information to provide considered advice in complex and sensitive environments. Experience leading change management initiatives and supporting business transformation is essential, alongside the ability to manage multiple priorities within constrained timeframes.
Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and facilitation skills are important, as is your ability to build constructive working relationships and work collaboratively across teams.
While not mandatory, a relevant tertiary qualification and previous experience in project management, development of briefing materials, and change management will be highly regarded.
