The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Nurse Navigator (Nurse Practitioner - Childrens Service) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Promote positive child development both within Queensland Health and wider community
- Provide advanced clinical practice and medium-term navigation for complex cases
- Work in conjunction with the Paediatric Developmental clinics
- Provide support and education to staff within Community Child Health
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
- Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent part time (45.6 hrs p.f.)
- Base salary ranging from $75.27 - $78.59 per hour.
About Us
The Child Development Service (CDS) sits within Community Child Health, within the Women, Newborn and Children's Service. The CDS runs a suite of clinical service pathways including but not limited to Paediatric Developmental Clinics, Autism Multidisciplinary Assessment Clinics, Multidisciplinary Assessment Clinics, Fetal Alcohol Diagnostic Assessment Clinics and Allied Health specific clinics.
