The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Senior to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Deliver a high-level Nuclear Medicine Technologist service across at least two modalities within the Nuclear Medicine Department
- Evaluate and contribute to the development of clinical practices, procedures
- Assist with and provide clinical practice supervision and training to graduate level staff, students and other staff
- Apply professional clinical judgement in providing Nuclear Medicine services of a complex nature
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Possession of a tertiary degree in Nuclear Medicine Technologist/Scientist
- Have, be able to have, or be eligible for the following license/s issued by Radiation Health Queensland:
- A use licence for Diagnostic Imaging
- Unrestricted radiation use licence in the use of computed tomography radiation apparatus
- AHPRA Registration
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent part time (32 hours per fortnight)
- Base salary ranging from $64.64 - $69.55 per hour

The Medical Imaging Service delivers a wide range of diagnostic imaging and interventional services across the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service. The Nuclear Medicine service within Gold coast Health include:
- Radiopharmacy (Nuclear Medicine & PET)
- General Nuclear Medicine & SPECT / CT
- PET / CT including diagnostic CT with contrast
- On Site Gallium-68 synthesis
- Bone Mineral Densitometry (located in Medical Imaging)
- Research and Theranostics
