The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Clinical Nurse (Mental Health – Acute Care Team) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Provide the delivery of care in a variety of hospital and community settings
- Apply professional knowledge and skills in clinical decision making under the practice supervision
- Contribute to the clinical education of students and other less experienced staff in consultation with the support of senior clinical staff
- Provide comprehensive care to consumers with an acute mental health issue
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- A Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
- Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
- Credentialed through the College of Mental Health Nurses (or be prepared to work towards a credential in Mental Health Nursing)
- A graduate certificate or greater within a relevant specialty area is highly desirable
- Driver Licence
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent full time or permanent part time (several positions, hours negotiable)
- Temporary full time or temporary part time (several positions, hours negotiable, up to 6 months with the possibility of extension)
- Base salary ranging from $107 960 - $115 604 per annum, $4 138.10 - $4 431.10 per fortnight, $54.44 - $58.30 per hour
