The primary purpose of this role is to manage and co-ordinate the ongoing maintenance and development of electronic medication management systems used by Pharmacy.

The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Pharmacist – Advanced (Informatics and Business Practice Improvement) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

• Provide clinical and policy advice in pharmacy management and committees
• Contribute to developing guidelines, policies, and procedures
• Drive new service models aligned with health priorities
• Lead pharmacy reviews to improve processes and support change

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

• A tertiary degree in Pharmacy
• AHPRA Registration
• Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
• Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
• Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
• Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

• Temporary Full time (6 months with possibility of extension)
• Base salary ranging from $5 557.50 - $5 798.90 per fortnight

About Us

The Pharmacy Service provides medication management services across the Gold Coast Health, through inpatient units, outpatient clinics and in all facilities where medicines are being utilised for the care of patients. Our team of approximately 130 Pharmacists are assisted in their roles by 55 support persons comprising pharmacy technicians, pharmacy assistants, administration officers, purchasing and stores personnel.
