The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Service Director (Child and Youth Mental Health Services) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Provide strategic direction for Child and Youth Mental Health Services (CYMHS) by implementing strategies and providing expert advice and supervision which ensures service delivery is aligned to business goals
- Work collaboratively with the Clinical Directors and Divisional Executive to ensure the delivery of quality CYMHS
- Provide authoritative counsel to the Mental Health and Specialist Services (MHSS) Governance Committee regarding each of the program areas and the taking of responsibility for aligning the strategic direction of the Committee with the programme areas
- Clinically lead and operationally manage a number of large multidisciplinary teams
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- A tertiary degree in Occupational Therapy, Psychology or Social Work
- AHPRA Registration (Occupational Therapist and Psychologist only)
- Eligibility for membership to the Australian Association of Social Workers (Social Worker only)
- Blue card / Working with children check (GCH will cover cost) (Social Worker Only)
- Driver Licence
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Temporary full time (12 months, with the possibility of extension)
- Base salary ranging from $161 540 - $174 378 per annum
