The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Dietitian Assistant to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Assist and support the dietitians in providing quality patient care in line with evidence based, best practice
- Implement and monitor the nutritional care of patients requiring nutrition support
- Provide education, on pre-determined nutrition areas, to patients, staff or other key stakeholders
- Maintain up-to-date and current nutrition knowledge, including knowledge of the health care system, medical terminology and general medical conditions
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Whilst not mandatory a Certificate III Nutrition, Certificate IV (Allied Health Assistance) or education in the area of nutrition would be well regarded
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)
- Working with Children check/Blue Card (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent part time (45.6 hrs p.f)
- Base salary ranging from $34.53 - $36.30 per hour
