The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Midwifery Educator to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Support Midwives to engage in their own lifelong learning and supporting the learning and development of others towards a positive workplace learning culture
- Liaise closely with key stakeholders, the interdisciplinary team, tertiary partners and Managers around developing learning opportunities for staff
- Supports clinical workshop facilitation and leadership direction for educational strategies and pathways
- Support the growth and development of Midwives including onboarding, training, study days and continuing professional development activities in line with Queensland Health's Framework for Lifelong Learning
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- A Bachelor of Midwifery or equivalent
- Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

- $132 562 - $143 924 per annum
