The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Pharmacist – Senior (Clinical Educator) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Promote a culture of continuous education, learning and skills development for undergraduate, intern and registered pharmacists
- Implement and maintain training programs in line with state-wide competency-based workplace assessments
- Directly provide clinical education in the workplace and in workshop, tutorial and small group settings
- Participate and coordinate pharmacy department involvement in the continued development, implementation and delivery of practitioner training programs within GCHHS
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Possession of tertiary degree in Pharmacy from a recognised institution
- AHPRA Registration
- While not mandatory, a relevant post-graduate qualification in clinical pharmacy would be well regarded
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Temporary full time (up to twelve months with the possibility of extension)
- Base salary ranging from $128 169 - $137 918 per annum

The Pharmacy Service provides medication management services across the GCHHS, 7 days a week. Additionally, service provides professional support to Ambulatory Consultant Pharmacists operating in community settings. Based in Southport.
