About Digital Transformation and Research 

The Research directorate provides a focal point for research, including clinical trials, and supports a diverse range of research program across the Gold Coast. The team embraces and supports high-quality research to drive the best possible care for the community.

About Your New Role

In this exciting role, you'll drive the development and delivery of education and training programs that empower researchers and strengthen capability across the organisation. You'll lead initiatives that align with strategic research priorities, support grants programs, and coordinate research events—while working closely with the Professor of Research in a conjoint position. Join a close-knit team committed to building a strong, innovative research culture through targeted development and education.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities, lead the strategic development and delivery of research initiatives and activities
  • Develop and maintain key strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including training organisations, universities, and Gold Coast Health
  • Provide advocacy, advice, and exercise expert knowledge to assist with stakeholders, researchers, and emerging GCHHS staff
  • Build and cultivate the capability of Research Support staff, Library staff, Biostatisticians, and Research Development Officers

Qualifications and Experience

  • Qualifications – Please see attached Role Description
  • AHPRA Registration
  • A postgraduate qualification within a relevant specialty will be highly regarded
  • Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
  • Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
  • Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
  • Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

  • Temporary full time (up to 12 months with the possibility of extension)
  • Base salary ranging from $5 557.50 - $5 798.90 per fortnight
