The Role
An opportunity has become available for an Clinical Lead – Advanced (Specialist Palliative Rural Telehealth Service) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Provide advanced clinical advice, leadership and strategic direction to the multidisciplinary teams
- Collaborate with the Medical Director to provide advice and support to regional palliative care teams
- Establish strong collaborative working relationships and leadership across all Specialist Palliative Rural Telehealth Service hubs
- Provide supportive advice regarding governance, strategic planning and model of care decisions
- Participate in the implementation of statewide standards, strategies and priorities to ensure compliance with standards of performance, safety and client care
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Qualification from a recognised tertiary institution in: Occupational Therapy, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Psychology or Social Worker
- AHPRA Registration (if applicable)
- Membership eligibility to the Australian Association of Social Workers (Social Workers only)
- Working with children check (Social Workers only)
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Driver Licence
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent full time
- Base salary ranging from $144 991- $151 289 per annum

The statewide Specialist Palliative Rural Telehealth Service (SPaRTa) provides an interdisciplinary specialist palliative care consultancy service to rural and remote settings across Queensland, via a hub and spoke model. This position within the service will be based at Southport and Robina.
