The Role
An opportunity has become available for several Pharmacists to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Develop higher level skills and expertise achieved through experience, professional development, post graduate education and certification
- Provide input into the development of medication management policies and procedures
- Supervise dispensary assistants, support persons, students and intern pharmacists within the workplace
- Develop clinical knowledge through active participation in ongoing education within the profession and the department as well as providing education to patients, hospital staff and Community organisations
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Tertiary degree in Pharmacy
- AHPRA Registration
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent full time, permanent part time, temporary full time, temporary part time (several positions, hours negotiable; temporary is up to 12 months with possibility of extension)
- Base salary ranging from $79 051 - $116 189 per annum, or $39.86 - $58.59 per hour

The Pharmacy Service provides medication management services across the Gold Coast HHS, through inpatient units, outpatient clinics and in all facilities where medicines are being utilised for the care of patients. This includes Gold Coast University Hospital, Robina Hospital, Tugun Satellite Hospital, Varsity Lakes Day Hospital, Southport and Robina Health Precincts, Numinbah Correctional Centre, Interim care facilities, as well as various community clinics and dental services.
