The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Dietitian Assistant to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Support dietitians in delivering quality, evidence-based patient care
- Implement and monitor nutritional care for patients requiring support, special diets, or mid meals, as delegated by dietitians
- Conduct nutrition screening, implement care plans, and monitor at-risk patients in line with guidelines and dietitian direction
- Provide education on specific nutrition topics to patients, staff, or stakeholders under dietitian or line manager supervision
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Whilst not mandatory a Certificate III Nutrition, Certificate IV (Allied Health Assistance) or education in nutrition would be well regarded
- Whilst not mandatory, experience working within a hospital Nutrition and Food Service department highly desirable
- A Working with Children check (GCH will cover cost)
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent part time (45.6 hrs p.f.)
- Base salary ranging from $34.53 - $36.30 per hour
