The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Surgical Fellow (Colorectal) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Provide Clinical duties and responsibilities in between those of an advanced surgical trainee and a consultant surgeon
- Supervise and provide leadership to rotating junior medical officers
- Practice patient care as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Provide quality care and educate patients
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Hold a Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in general surgery (or equivalent overseas qualification)
- AHPRA Registration
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)
- Available to work an after-hours roster

Salary
- Temporary part time (12 months)
- Base salary ranging from $83.35 - $91.84 per hour
