The Role

An opportunity has become available for an Enrolled Nurse (Renal Dialysis) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia. 

You will

• Assist and support pre-screening of all patients entering Kidney Dialysis Unit
• Demonstrate accountability and lead in specified portfolio management within scope of practice
• Actively participate in the delivery of cares during any medical emergency at Tugun until transfer is completed
• Demonstrated adaptability of role to meet a changing environment 

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

• Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent  
• Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
• Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
• Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
• Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
• Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

• Permanent Part time,
• Base salary ranging from $35.93 - $38.13 per hour

The Kidney Dialysis Unit (KDU) is a new 12 chair unit providing Haemodialysis treatments to patients with Chronic & End stage renal failure. Operating 6 x days per week and expanding the unit to meet growth and demand for Renal Services across the Gold Coast Hospital & Health Service.
