The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Nurse Unit Manger to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people.

 You will

• Collaborate at a Statewide level to ensure accessibility and continuity of high acuity care
• Work with the wider Children's Critical care team to facilitate Statewide education  
• Possess expert knowledge within the clinical fields as well as excellent leadership qualities
• Support the collection and reporting of data to specific critical care networks and databases

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

• Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent  
• Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
• Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
• Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
• Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
• Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

About Us 

Children's Critical Care is a 4 bedded dedicated paediatric facility co-located in area 5 of the ICU at the Gold Coast University Hospital providing high end critical care for children from birth to end of school age. The service supports the Gold Coast Health's newborn and children's medical, surgical and emergency services as well as working in collaboration with the QCH level 6 tertiary PICU and the level 4/5 paediatric critical cares unit at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital and the Townsville Base Hospital, to provide state-wide critical care services to children and their families.
