The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Clinical Nurse to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Have advanced leadership experience with the ability to meet deadlines and perform effectively
- Provide advanced neonatal nursing care for infants with the Special Care Nursery
- Allocate and manage staffing allocations on a shift to shift basis
- Advanced neonatal expertise and problem -solving skills within the neonatal service
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
- Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- requires effective computer skills to use clinical information systems and other applications relevant to role.
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

- Permanent full time, permanent part time
- $107 960 - $115 604 per annum, $54.45 - $58.30 per hour
About Us
The Newborn Care Unit (NCU) at Gold Coast University Hospital (GCUH) is part of the division of Emergency and Specialty Services (ESS) in the service line of Women, Newborn and Children's Services (WNCS). It is comprised of a 12-cot Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and a 24-cot Special Care Nursery (SCN). The SCN operates as a Level 4 neonatal service comprised of a High Dependency Unit (HDU) and a Newborn Early Discharge Service (NEDS).
