The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Nurse Navigator (Day Infusions) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Provide high-level, non-routine clinical advice in the assessment of patient care
- Ability to lead and work effectively within a multi-disciplinary setting.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge and experience in patient clinical management
- Ability to work autonomously while maintaining professional accountability
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
- Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent part time (32hrs p.f.)
- Base salary ranging from $66.86 - $72.59 per hour.
About Us
The Gold Coast University Hospital (GCUH) Day Medical Unit consists of 14 treatment spaces. The Nurse Navigator (NN) role is a clinical role which may include direct care with patient allocation.
The unit provides care to chronic and acute non chemotherapy patients and works collaboratively within outpatients and inpatient care units. Patient centred and evidence-based care is delivered by a multidisciplinary team.
The NN in the Day Medical Units, provides advanced clinical coordination and clinical management of the patient cohorts. The service provision of the Day Medical Units may include providing clinical support at other sites across the Hospital and Health Service.
