The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Registered Nurse to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) providing quality nursing services within a health service setting, consulting with the Nurse Unit Manager or team leader in the coordination and standards of care for patients within the unit.

 You will

• Provide excellent, evidence based, family centred care
• Work with the multidisciplinary team to provide specialist nursing care for ill and injured children
• Be required to work in all shifts according to the unit roster
• Work alongside the nursing education team and continually aim to improve their knowledge and skills

 About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

• Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent  
• Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
• Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
• Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
• Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
• Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

• Permanent full time, Permanent part time, Temporary full time, Temporary part time
• $82 753 - $106 144 per annum
• $3171.90 - $4068.50 per fortnight
• $51.33 - $65.84 per hour

The Children's Critical Care Unit (CCCU) is a level 4/5 intensive care unit providing acute high dependency and intensive care to children from birth and throughout the school years.

The unit is an integral part of the Children's Services within the Gold Coast and sits in the Women's, Newborn and Children's Division.
