The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Team Leader (Forensic Community Team) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Lead the integration of the key objectives from the Strategic/Operational plans
- Maintain high level interpersonal and communication skills
- Develop a dynamic, flexible, resilient and skilled workforce
- Lead and manage staff by fostering and committing to consumer safety and quality
- Represent MHSS at internal and interagency forums and build collaborative partnerships
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- A tertiary degree in Occupational Therapy, Psychology or Social Work
- AHPRA Registration (Occupational Therapist and Psychologist only)
- Eligibility for membership to the Australian Association of Social Workers (Social Worker only)
- Driver Licence
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

- Permanent full time
- Base salary ranging from $144 991 - $151 289 per annum
About Us
The Forensic Community Team provide for safe and effective management of consumers subject to Forensic provisions in compliance with the Mental Health Act 2016. This team works to enhance the overall knowledge, skill and capability of the service to understand this specialist area and compliance with legislative requirements. The service work collaboratively with specialist Statewide services and have a liaison and advisory role for the wider MHSS team.
