The Role
An opportunity has become available for several Clinical Nurses (Emergency Department) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Mentor junior staff and colleagues
- Show current experience in Emergency settings and leadership role exposure
- Manage conflict and incidents appropriately and at a professional level
- Engage in higher duties
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
- Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent full time and part time, temporary full time and part time (several positions)
- $107.960 - $115.604 per annum, $4138.10 - $4431.10 per fortnight, $54.44 - $58.30 per hour
About Us
The Gold Coast University Hospital (GCUH) Emergency Department (ED) is one of the busiest mixed Emergency Departments within the Southern Hemisphere, seeing approximately 120,000 patients each annum. GCUH is a level 6 trauma facility with a large catchment area between Northern New South Wales and the Gold Coast region.
The department provides a 24-hour triage service for all level of presentations from high end trauma to minor injuries. We work within a large multidisciplinary team environment, having collaborative relationships with trauma, stroke, surgery, plus other subspecialty teams.
