The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Occupational Therapist – Senior (Community Rehabilitation Program) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia. 

You will

  • Deliver high level, evidence based Occupational Therapy clinical services within the area of community-based rehabilitation
  • Conduct home visits to deliver high level Occupational Therapy clinical care to consumers requiring home based rehabilitation services
  • Provide high level clinical Occupational Therapy advice to consumers and their families, the multi-disciplinary team, operational and professional supervisors, and students as required
  • Apply professional leadership and judgement to a complex clinical Occupational Therapy caseload

 About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

  • Tertiary degree in Occupational Therapy
  • AHPRA Registration
  • Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
  • Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
  • Driver Licence
  • Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
  • Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

 Salary

  • Temporary full time (up to 12 months)
  • Base salary ranging from $128 169 - $137 918 per annum

About Us

The Community Rehabilitation Program provides a comprehensive multidisciplinary, community-based rehabilitation service to adult clients over the age of 18 years. The program delivers a goal oriented, client-centred, holistic model of restorative and adaptive therapy which focuses upon optimising functional capacity and quality of life.  Clients of the service can be either transitioning from hospital to home or referred from the community with identified rehabilitation needs. 

The service is based at the Robina Health Precinct and offers group-based programs and individual therapy sessions which can be delivered at the precinct or within the client's home.  The multidisciplinary team delivers a broad range of clinical services including: Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Clinical Psychology, Neuropsychology, Social Work, Nursing, and Medical Consultation.
