The Role
An opportunity has become available for an Occupational Therapist/Psychologist/Social Worker – Senior (Eating Disorder Specialist Service) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Provide efficient, responsive, and recovery-oriented mental health care in a variety of hospital and community settings
- Contribute to the development of clinical practice procedure and protocols
- Supervise, continuously develop, and support staff and students
- Lead quality activities and/or research to improve clinical practice and multidisciplinary services
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- A tertiary degree in Occupational Therapy, Psychology, or Social Work
- AHPRA Registration (Occupational Therapist and Psychologist only)
- Eligibility for membership to the Australian Association of Social Workers (Social Worker only)
- Driver Licence
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

- Permanent full time
- Base salary ranging from $132 562 - $143 924 per annum

The Adult Eating Disorder Specialist Service provides consultation and liaison, care coordination and undertakes assessment and specialist targeted interventions for consumers, and their families, with eating disorders or experiencing the onset of an eating disorder and associated mental health needs. This service provides a recovery-oriented approach that is person-centred, strengths based, collaborative and empowering.
