The Role

An opportunity has become available for an Assistant Director of Nursing (Emergency Care Services) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

 You will

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

  • Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent  
  • Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
  • Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
  • Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
  • Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
  • Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

  • Permanent full time
  • Base salary ranging from $155 831 - $163 382 per annum

About Us 

Gold Coast Health provides Emergency Care Services at Gold Coast University Hospital (level 6 tertiary emergency service provision), Robina Hospital (level 4 emergency service provision) and the Minor Injury and Illness Centre at Tugun Satellite Health Centre. The service also delivers an emergency nursing service as an Emergency Department avoidance strategy at the Beenleigh and Southport watchhouses.

The Assistant Director of Nursing, Emergency Care Services, is part of the senior leadership team, supporting the Nursing Director in delivering safe, quality emergency care with coordinated management, empowered to make autonomous decisions and recommendations within agreed strategies and delegations.
