The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Clinical Nurse Consultant (Urology Continence Adviser) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

• Develop skills in relation to indwelling catheter insertion and changes
• Provide advanced holistic patient care including assessment, implementation and evaluation
• Exhibit an ability to practice as an independent practitioner
• Provide urology and continence services in a safe efficient and effective manner

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

• Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent  
• Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
• Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
• Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
• Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
• Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

• Permanent Part Time
• Base salary ranging from $66.86 - $72.59 per hour

This service aims to provide high quality and holistic care and support- to those persons requiring Urology/Continence management and individuals undergoing urology surgery and procedures.

The Urology/Continence Clinical Nurse Consultant service provides education and support when able. Particularly to individuals, their families and staff within Gold Coast Hospital and Robina Hospital, Out-Patients Clinics and Emergency Department.
