The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Clinical Nurse (Scheduling and Booking and Referral Centre) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

• Require strong clinical experience and knowledge of various health conditions and treatment pathways
• Co-ordinate staff and manage resources, including reprioritizing of departmental needs
• Promote teamwork and a positive and inclusive team culture

• Use clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

• Demonstrate honesty, integrity and respect for all patients, carers and staff

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

• Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent  
• Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
• Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
• Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
• Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
• Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

• Base salary ranging from $107 960 - $115 604 per annum

About Us

The Booking and Referral Centre (BARC) is a district wide service centralized service that processes new referrals to the Adult Outpatient Clinics across both Southport and Robina campuses. The Unit also includes the Gold Coast Scheduling Centre and Review Call Centre.

Referrals for Outpatient Services are received from external healthcare providers such as General Practitioners, Specialist and Allied Health professionals and internally from Emergency/Outpatients/Allied Health and Inpatient Units.
