The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Psychologist – Senior to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Provide expert advice on patient management, service delivery, and clinical or technological changes.
- Resolve complex issues through advanced problem-solving and clinical reasoning.
- Lead service planning, reviews, and research to improve quality and standards.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships through effective communication and negotiation.
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Tertiary degree in Psychology
- AHPRA Registration
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Driver Licence
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent part time (60.8 hrs p.f.)
- Base salary ranging from $64.64 - $69.55 per hour
About Us
The Geriatric Evaluation and Management unit provides patient-centred, evidence based multidisciplinary assessment and management for older persons living with co-morbidities and/or complex needs. The unit promotes recovery through restorative care to maximise and improve quality of life for older people within our community. The multidisciplinary team work in partnership with patients and their family/carers/significant others to reduce the impact of hospitalisation and complications of prolonged hospital stay.
