About us:
Gladstone Hospital is a 79-bed hospital and offers a range of general and specialist inpatient and outpatient services including emergency, general medicine and surgery, basic orthopaedic, clinical investigation, obstetrics, maternity, gynaecology, high dependency and coronary care, palliative care, medical imaging, oncology, haematology, pathology, and paediatrics.
About the role:
The candidate will have the opportunity to participate in daily clinical pharmacy rounds within the clinical care environment throughout Gladstone Hospital.
- Supervise and participate in efficient and effective medicines dispensing within agreed procedures (including prescription validation and evaluation to ensure medicine therapy is safe, appropriate, and effective based on patient's available history, approval/authority for use of non-list of approved medicines, accurate labelling, final product verification and patient counselling).
- Develop clinical practice knowledge and expertise through active learning within the team and by engaging in professional development activities.
About you:
Mandatory qualification/s: Appointment to this position requires possession of a Degree in Pharmacy and eligibility for registration as a Pharmacist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Knowledge of drug therapy in various disease states, with demonstrated ability to apply theoretical knowledge to the day-to-day practice of hospital pharmacy.

Total remuneration value of up to $128,706 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $42.40 - $56.89 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
