Focussing on quality, safety and risk, this role will see you advocate for and provide advice on practices that will help us to meet strategic and operational objectives!

About us:

Gladstone Hospital is a 70-bed hospital and offers a range of general and specialist inpatient and outpatient services including emergency, general medicine and surgery, basic orthopaedic, clinical investigation, obstetrics, maternity, gynaecology, high dependency and coronary care, palliative care, medical imaging, pathology, and paediatrics.

About the role:

The primary purpose of the position is to advocate for and provide advice to the business unit on contemporary quality, safety, and risk management practices to meet the business unit's strategic and operational objectives, CQHHS Quality, Safety and Risk strategic priorities and the Australian Healthcare Standards (ACHS) Evaluation and Quality Improvement Program (EQuIP) National Standards.

  • Manage patient liaison activity for the Gladstone Hospital across CQHHS, including provision of advice/recommendations to the Gladstone Hospital on continuous improvement arising from patient feedback.
  • Manage patient safety activity for the Gladstone Business Unit, including provision of advice/recommendations to the Gladstone Hospital on continuous improvement arising from patient safety measures/incidents.
  • Collaborate with other Quality, Safety and Risk Business Unit Partners and Practice Leaders to coordinate CQHHS activities to ensure that quality has a total health service focus.

About you:

  • Current registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • A relevant postgraduate certificate or post graduate diploma is an expectation of this position - where the successful applicant does not currently hold this qualification, commitment to completion within an agreed timeframe is expected and will form part of the performance and development plan.

Salary information:

Total remuneration value of up to $12,000 p.m. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $54.44 - $63.65 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
