Gladstone Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Service are now recruiting to a qualified Clinical Nurse Consultant or Occupational Therapist or Social Worker, or Psychologist to fulfil the duties of the Mental Health Co-Responder.
Within this role you will perform frontline duties to reduce the symptoms of mental illness and facilitate recovery, while working in collaboration with the local hospitals, other Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs teams, as well as primary health, community, and private sector providers.

About the role:
- The Co-Responder Model aim is to prevent and safely resolve mental health crisis situations through enhanced co-operation, collaboration and understanding between Queensland Health and Queensland Ambulance Service.
About you:
- The successful applicant must possess a Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent. Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency with a current annual nursing practicing certificate Division one is essential.
- Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and/or registration with the appropriate registration authority, including any necessary endorsements, to be provided to the employing service prior to the commencement of duty.
- Occupational Therapy
- Psychology
- Social Work
- While not mandatory, recent, extensive experience working in a Mental Health specialty would be highly regarded and/or a relevant postgraduate qualification is highly desirable for this position. Eligibility for appointment as an Authorised Mental Health Practitioner under the Mental Health Act 2016.

Salary information:
Total remuneration value of up to $167,588 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $66.85 - $74.07 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
