About us:

Our Destination 2030: Great Care for Central Queenslanders strategy1 will see Gladstone Hospital developed as a centre for emergency care, medical inpatient and day surgery excellence. This will optimise outreach services to deliver care closer to home in the Gladstone and Banana rural communities.

Operational Services provides a catering, housekeeping, ward support and fire safety and security service to the entire Gladstone Hospital facility and surrounds. The Ward Support Service includes patient assistance and porterage, waste, and linen removal as well as the specialist functions of orthopaedic casting, operating theatre, and mortuary assistance.

About the role:

Provide quality environmental cleaning, catering and linen services to the clients of the Gladstone Hospital facility.  To support our patients, clients, families, and communities to take care of themselves and each other. Work with our partners to connect our services and operate safely and sustainably every day.

About you:

  • While not mandatory, a relevant qualification in Health Support Services would be well regarded.

What we offer:

  • An hourly rate between $39.05 – $41.66 p.h. (Including 25% casual loading)
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
