About us:

Gladstone Hospital is a 70-bed hospital and offers a range of general and specialist inpatient and outpatient services including emergency, general medicine and surgery, basic orthopaedic, clinical investigation, obstetrics, maternity, gynaecology, high dependency and coronary care, palliative care, medical imaging, pathology and paediatrics. Additional services include Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Service, oral health, physiotherapy, dietetics, speech pathology and outreach/community-based facilities, as well as a Primary Health Care Centre located at Boyne Valley.

About the role:

  • Provide general clerical duties, quality client service, patient bookings, receipting, correspondence and basic reports, minutes and agenda preparation and completion, records and statistics collation, typing, data entry, word processing and spread sheeting of documents, use modern office equipment, switchboard, reception, filing and other duties as directed.
  • Willingness to adapt to a changing work environment and become skilled in a variety of administrative duties to enable job placement to meet the organisational requirements of the Health Service.
  • High work ethics, the ability to work autonomously and ethical decision making in the achievement of departmental/organisational goals.
  • Organise and coordinate various meetings, including but not limited to the taking and distribution of agendas and minutes.

About you:

This role requires you to carry out the physical aspects of the role requirements in regard to lifting, bending, squatting, ladders, and use of large trolleys for the purpose of chart transport across the facility.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $97,656 p.a. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $38.81 - $43.16 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
