Your responsibilities will include coordinating accreditation preparations, managing incident reporting and investigations, facilitating quality meetings, and implementing innovative safety and quality programs.

About us:

Gladstone Hospital is a 70-bed hospital and offers a range of general and specialist inpatient and outpatient services including emergency, general medicine and surgery, basic orthopaedic, clinical investigation, obstetrics, maternity, gynaecology, high dependency and coronary care, palliative care, medical imaging, pathology, and paediatrics.

Gladstone Hospital has approximately 282 full time equivalent staff delivering services across acute, community and primary care. Approximately 500 babies are born at the Gladstone Hospital each year and approximately 1600 surgical cases performed in the two operating theatres.

About the role:

The primary purpose of the position is to advocate for and provide advice to the business unit on contemporary quality, safety, and risk management practices to meet the business unit's strategic and operational objectives, Central Queensland Health (CQ Health) Quality, Safety and Risk strategic priorities and the Australian Healthcare Standards (ACHS) Evaluation and Quality Improvement Program (EQuIP) National Standards.

About you:

AO6: Nil.

Nurse Grade 6 (1): Current registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

  • A relevant postgraduate certificate or post graduate diploma is an expectation of this position.
  • Where the successful applicant does not currently hold this qualification, commitment to completion within an agreed timeframe is expected and will form part of the performance and development plan.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $148,323 p.a. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $61.20 - $65.56 p.h. (AO6)
  • An hourly rate between $54.44 - $58.30 p.h. (NRG6)
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
