About us:

Is an 80-bed hospital and offers a range of general and specialist inpatient and outpatient services including emergency, general medicine and surgery, basic orthopaedic, clinical investigation, obstetrics, maternity, gynaecology, high dependency and coronary care, palliative care, medical imaging, pathology and paediatrics. Additional services include Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Service, oral health, physiotherapy, dietetics, speech pathology and outreach/community-based facilities, as well as a Primary Health Care Centre located at Boyne Valley.

About the role:

The Duty Nurse Manager will strategically coordinate bed allocation using best practice principles and provide guidance to clinical units to facilitate efficient and effective capacity management.

The position will initiate and manage a range of strategies and activities that support and further develop patient flow throughout the facility and through the provision of effective and efficient human and material resources. The Duty Nurse Manager is the line Manager of the Gladstone casual Nursing pool.

About you:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a current annual practising certificate are mandatory for this position.
  • A relevant post graduate qualification in a clinical stream or alternatively post graduate qualification in management/leadership is a desirable of this role.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $155,569 is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $66.85 - $72.58
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
