About us:

Gladstone Hospital is a 70-bed hospital and offers a range of general and specialist inpatient and outpatient services including emergency, general medicine and surgery, basic orthopaedic, clinical investigation, obstetrics, maternity, gynaecology, high dependency and coronary care, palliative care, medical imaging, pathology and paediatrics. Additional services include Child Health, Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Service, oral health, physiotherapy, dietetics, speech pathology and outreach/community-based facilities. 

About the role:

A Clinical Nurse is a Registered Nurse who is accountable at an advanced level for the coordination of clinical practice delivered in the paediatric speciality. This position provides leadership and support to nursing and medical staff and supports the delivery of competent, best practice quality nursing care, while working in collaboration with the Line Manager of the unit. The Clinical Nurse is responsible for portfolio management with focus on clinical care/leadership, management, and education.

About you:

Current registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a current annual practising certificate are mandatory for this position.

  • A post graduate qualification in the clinical area of expertise is highly desirable.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $55,536 p.a. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $54.44 - $58.30 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
