An exciting opportunity is currently available for an experienced Senior Speech Pathologist (Acute) to join the Speech Pathology Team at the Hervey Bay and Maryborough Hospital within the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service. The Wide Bay area is arguably one of the most beautiful regions of Queensland. The Health Service stretches from Agnes Water in the North to Maryborough in the South and provides acute care services to a population of over 225,000 residents including several rural communities.

Eligible Applicants who move to Queensland from an interstate or international jurisdiction to take up permanent or temporary greater than 12 months employment may receive up to $20,000 incentive payments under the Queensland Health Workforce Attraction Scheme

Your opportunity:

• To independently provide high level contemporary speech pathology clinical services to eligible inpatients and outpatients of Hervey Bay Hospital and Maryborough Hospital.
• To contribute to the advancement of speech pathology services and multidisciplinary services across the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service (South), through the provision of clinical leadership, governance, supervision and professional advocacy.
• To be actively involved in service development, quality improvement, education and research activities.
• This position operationally and professionally reports to the Director of Speech Pathology, Maryborough Hospital and Hervey Bay Hospital, Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service.

Prior to being made an offer of employment, you will be required to demonstrate immunity to the following Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD): Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (chicken pox) and Pertussis (whooping cough).

Our offer:

You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $152,775 p.a., comprising salary between $124,435 - $133,901 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP4) (Permanent Full Time, 76 hours p.f.)
