An exciting opportunity is currently available for experienced Advanced Allied Health Assistants to join the Sub Acute Older Persons Mental Health Team at the Maryborough Hospital within the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service. The Wide Bay area is arguably one of the most beautiful regions of Queensland. The Health Service stretches from Agnes Water in the North to Maryborough in the South and provides acute care services to a population of over 225,000 residents including several rural communities.

Your opportunity:
- Contribute to patient centred care and improve the patient journey for Older Person Mental Health Unit patients by providing Allied Health Assistant support under the direction of the Nurse Unit Manager, Nursing and Allied Health Teams.
- Contribute to the inpatient care of patients by providing advanced clinical support tasks as delegated under the direct or indirect supervision of the Nurse Unit Manager and Allied Health Team.
Permanent Full Time (76 hours p.f.) and Permanent Part Time Positions (hours negotiable).
Prior to being made an offer of employment, you will be required to demonstrate immunity to the following Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD): Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (chicken pox) and Pertussis (whooping cough).
From 9th December 2019 all new employees will be required to be assessed for their risk of Tuberculosis (TB). For further information regarding TB please visit Queensland Health website: Tuberculosis

Our offer:
You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $90,110 p.a., comprising salary between $73,861 - $78,977 p.a. (f/t) or salary between $37.25 - $39.83 p.h. (p/t), employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (CA4) (Permanent Full Time, 76 hours p.f., and Permanent Part Time Positions, hours negotiable).
