WBHHS is seeking an inspiring and innovative Director of Nursing to lead patient flow and emergency services at Hervey Bay Hospital. As the Director of Nursing – Patient Flow and Emergency Department, you will provide strategic and operational leadership to ensure safe, timely, and effective patient care across the Emergency Department and throughout the patient journey. Working collaboratively with executive and clinical teams, you will drive improvements in access, service efficiency, and clinical outcomes, while fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and patient-centred care.

Your opportunity
- The Director of Nursing (DON) - Patient Flow and Emergency Department is a nursing leadership and management position, accountable for operational and professional leadership, management, and delivery of nursing services within the Hervey Bay Hospital and Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service (WBHHS) specifically Patient Flow and Emergency Department.
- The DON is also accountable at an expert professional and leadership level for the delivery of high quality, evidence-informed nursing standards within the WBHHS.
- To lead the ongoing design, planning, development, implementation and management of the service, providing high level advice to other Nursing Directors and executive team.

Our offer:
You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $198,959 p.a., comprising salary of $174,378 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 11) (Permanent Full Time, 76 hours p.f.)
