Your Opportunity:
The position of Paediatric Registrar (in the role of Paediatric Advanced Trainee Fellow) will:
- Act as an advanced trainee in Paediatric Palliative Care (or obtain experience in palliative care while undertaking advanced training in another discipline) and participate in the provision of clinical inpatient and outpatient services to the Queensland Children's Hospital related to the disciplines of palliative care and cancer pain management.
- Assist in the care of patients with a spectrum of life limiting conditions and life-threatening conditions (cancer and non-cancer)
- Involvement in provision of pain management (cancer and non-cancer)
- Provide leadership to junior medical staff in the Oncology Services Group and other services in relation to pain management and palliative care
- Involvement in Research and Quality Improvement Activities within the department
- Deliver medical services through participation in clinical duties at Fellow level and in accordance with the policies, practices and Values of the Children's Health Queensland Hospital and Health Service.
- Demonstrate commitment to evidence-based practice, research and quality improvement activities, including undertaking clinical audits and clinical risk management activities.
- Assist in the professional development of junior medical staff and the training of medical and allied health students.
