Your Opportunity:
The position of Occupational Therapist – Senior (Surgical) will:
- Deliver high level, evidence based, and tertiary occupational therapy services to patients across the continuum of care (acute, sub-acute and ambulatory setting) within the surgical stream with specific emphasis on the provision of services within the specialist clinical areas of burns, plastics, vascular, orthopaedics, and congenital and acquired hand and upper limb conditions and injuries.
- This position will provide independent, high level hand therapy services to children attending the recently established Occupational Therapy led fracture clinic. The successful applicant will therefore require Australian Hand Therapy Association Accreditation, a Certified Hand Therapist Qualification, or a relevant post graduate qualification.
- This position will provide professional leadership and management in the co-ordination and delivery of paediatric occupational therapy services under the direction of the Clinical Leader – Surgical and actively participate in teaching and training, service development/ improvement, supervision and departmental planning.
