Role Details

  • Participate in training and competency assessment in community hearing screening.
  • Provide community hearing screening to eligible children referred to the service under the direction and supervision of a Senior Audiologist.
  • Assisting in management of referrals to the service under the supervision of a Senior Audiologist.
  • Completion and maintenance of relevant clinical documentation and collection of statistics.
  • Data collection and data entry relating to activity and outcomes for the service.
  • Ensuring Infection Control guidelines are met including cleaning of equipment and toys.
  • Co-ordination of the calibration and maintenance of equipment and necessary repairs.
  • Undertaking clerical duties relating to the Community Hearing Screening Service as required.
  • Contributing to the development, and evaluation of information packages and resources using a number of computer software programs under the direction of the Senior Audiologist.
  • Participating in service evaluation including seeking patient feedback.
    • Coordinating the ordering, storage and maintenance of supplies for the service including:
    • Regular audits of test materials, clinical materials and inventory of toys and equipment.
    • Regular Work Place Health and Safety audits
  • Management of clinical consumable stock.
  • Participate in the Department of Audiology and CYCHS quality management programs, including professional development; in order to provide a high standard of service to individuals and the community.
