About the Team
The Disruption, Disaster and Patient Management Services (DDPMS) unit incorporates the Disruption and Disaster Management Unit (DDMU), Infection Management and Prevention (IMPS), Clinical Consumables and Equipment Advice and, oversight of the Clinical Consumable and Equipment Loans Service (CCELS).
Role Details
- Lead the Disruption and Disaster Management Unit (DDMU) in its objective to manage organisational disruption safely and effectively across CHQ.
- Lead the Infection Management and Prevention Service (IMPS) nursing team including the important links this team have with planning, readiness, and response to organisational disruption and disaster.
- CHQ wide vaccine preventable disease (VPD) program for all CHQ staff.
- Engagement with operational and clinical teams to ensure safe and reliable access to appropriate clinical consumable products and clinical / medical equipment.
- Lead the Clinical Consumable and Equipment Loans Service (CCELS).
- Partner with Divisional and Executive leadership across the organisation to support equitable and high-quality care provision to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients and families.
- Work in partnership with the Children's Health Queensland Nursing Leadership to fulfil the accountabilities of this role in accordance with CHQ HHS key performance indicators and Queensland Health's core values, as outlined above.
- Contribute to timely reporting of data and financial management requirements to internal governance committees, the Executive Leadership Team and the CHQ Board.
- Shape clinical and corporate governance; and provides the coordination of service delivery, human and material management, expertise in health care team communication and highly developed data analysis and fiscal management to facilitate safe, quality, effective and efficient healthcare provision.
- Ensure the effective and efficient delivery of systems and processes.
- Responsible for providing timely reporting of data and financial management requirements to internal governance committees, Executive Leadership Team and the CHQ Board.
- The role will be required to participate in the Queensland Children's Hospital (QCH) Nursing Director on-call roster.
