As the Nurse Researcher (NR) you will play a critical role in the accountable at the advanced practice level and accountable for the development, coordination, implementation and evaluation of nursing research projects/programs within Learning & Workforce Development using an evidence based systems approach to care and practice.

About the Team

The Paediatric Nursing and Patient Safety Group research program works with the Vascular Access Management Service and other CHQ groups to eliminate healthcare-associated injuries, such as central line-associated bloodstream infection, thrombosis, extravasation injuries and medication error for children. We are achieving this aim by informing everyday clinical practices with innovation and high-quality research trial data, then sustainably and effectively implementing evidence-based care into practice across Australian and international paediatric healthcare.

About the Role

Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Schedule 2, Nurses and Midwives (Queensland Health) Award - State 2015 – Generic Level Statements (GLS) Nurse Grade 7 and the Queensland Health and Children's Health Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CHQHHS) commitments and values, in achievement of the organisational goals and Domains of Practice.

• Engage with research collaborators, relevant stakeholders, and clinicians regarding the conduct of the CLOCK Trial, and other research projects involving paediatric vascular access.
• Preparation of documents for HREC and Research Governance and other regulatory agencies in accordance with local policy/legislation.
