About the Team

The Paediatric Nursing and Patient Safety Group research program works with the Vascular Access Management Service and other CHQ groups to eliminate healthcare-associated injuries, such as central line-associated bloodstream infection, thrombosis, extravasation injuries and medication error for children. We are achieving this aim by informing everyday clinical practices with innovation and high-quality research trial data, then sustainably and effectively implementing evidence-based care into practice across Australian and international paediatric healthcare.

About the Role

Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Schedule 2, Nurses and Midwives (Queensland Health) Award - State 2015 – Generic Level Statements (GLS) Nurse Grade 7 and the Queensland Health and Children's Health Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CHQHHS) commitments and values, in achievement of the organisational goals and Domains of Practice.

  • Engage with research collaborators, relevant stakeholders, and clinicians regarding the conduct of the CLOCK Trial, and other research projects involving paediatric vascular access.
  • Preparation of documents for HREC and Research Governance and other regulatory agencies in accordance with local policy/legislation.
