Your Opportunity:
The Queensland Paediatric Immunology and Allergy Service (QPIAS) aims to improve quality of life and sustainment of life for children and adolescents with severe and complex immunological disease, including allergic disease. The aim is to enhance and sustain the quality of life through the delivery of expert care and knowledge for a rapidly growing co-hort.
The Clinical Nurse (CN) will provide both direct and indirect care to patients and families in the service. The CN role includes responsibility for supporting the day to day running of the clinics from Monday to Friday (including, but not limited to, performing skin prick testing and intradermal testing and oral/subcutaneous immunotherapy), managing patients on immunotherapy, providing clinical advice to complex care patients in the community, managing elective admissions, supporting inpatients, development of protocols, implementing treatments, and education to families and clinicians.
