About the Role
The Senior Advisor, Performance and Systems Capability will provide advice to employees and line managers to build workforce capability in font line and support staff with the aim of sustaining and fostering equity in the workplace. The Advisor will support the Manager to drive effective health system leadership and reform by creating the necessary resources to assist the strategic development, optimisation, and performance of systems and processes to increase the capacity of the HHS. The role is key to:
- Identify, support and engage HHS staff and key stakeholders to encourage participation in specific plans, Strategies, resource development, policies or procedures.
- Establish and manage CHQ's Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Network which will support the organisations system efficiencies, performance metrics, capability and business operations.
- Support the Manager, People and Governance on the operational and strategic business planning, budget preparation and financial management through regular monitoring and reporting of performance.
- In line with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workforce (Queensland Health) Certified agreement (No. 1) 2019, provide advice, guidance and support to address industrial and workplace relations issues that relate to employees of the HHS who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person, including Award entitlements, organisational change, Union engagement and industrial disputes.
- Develop and draft appropriate Workforce documents and resources, including forms, templates and online materials, that apply to employees who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person.
- Be familiar with current government HR practices, relevant legislation, industrial instruments, policy and HR delegations.
- Provide advice to enhance the organisation's diversity and capability to deliver and support culturally safe, accessible, responsive, and high-quality healthcare for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children's and young people across Queensland.
