About the Role
- Provide strategic, tactical and operational advice and support to all client groups in the Health Service on complex workforce matters.
- Provide specialist advice in the resolution of workplace relations issues of varying complexity, including organisational change, union engagement, industrial disputes and appeals, providing subject matter expertise to matters which escalate to external advocacy and forums (such as the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission), and matters involving discipline, suspensions, ill-health retirement, diminished performance and conduct, and abandonment of employment processes.
- Assist the Manager and Director in the coordination and oversight of industrial representation at tribunals, hearings and meetings.
- Engage and consult with unions regarding workforce matters.
- Undertake the roles of Health Service Crime and Corruption Commission (CCC) Liaison Officer and Public Interest Disclosure (PID) Coordinator.
- Maintain expert knowledge and understanding of corrupt conduct, misconduct and PIDs and associated functions.
- Conduct high level, complex and sensitive investigations of suspected corrupt conduct and misconduct.
