Solution Specialist (Microsoft 365)

Work with key stakeholders and other subject matter experts, to design, develop and deploy custom Microsoft 365 solutions. This will include modelling business flows, product roadmaps, developing solutions to meet prioritised requirements, participating in ongoing stakeholder meetings, and providing ongoing support and detailed documentation to support high-quality and safe care within Children’s Health Services.

About the Team

The Custom Solutions team is within the Data Analytics and Custom Solutions branch at CHQ. We design, develop, and support tailored digital solutions using Microsoft 365 tools such as but SharePoint Online, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Microsoft Forms. Our work supports clinical and operational teams across CHQ by streamlining workflows, improving data capture, and enabling more efficient, user-friendly digital processes. We also contribute to uplift in digital capability through coaching.

About the Role

  • Develop and support custom Microsoft 365 solutions (including SharePoint Online, Power Automate, Power Apps and Microsoft Excel) that meet business requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design, build, and implement solutions that improve workflows and support high-quality care.
  • Produce and maintain high-quality, clear and detailed documentation such as solution designs, technical notes, and user guides to support delivery and handover.
  • Troubleshoot and support Microsoft 365 custom solutions. This includes investigating reported issues, addressing solution defects, and communicating escalations with the delegated line manager.
  • Prepare and facilitate individual and group coaching sessions relevant to business requirements through face-to-face and/or virtual delivery using Microsoft Teams.
  • Maintain a sound understanding of technical processes, procedures, and best business practices in relation to the use of Microsoft 365 Technology.
  • Assist to develop clinical forms within the CHQ Clinical Forms Catalogue in accordance with the Clinical Forms Management Procedure. This includes form design using Adobe InDesign, Adobe Acrobat DC, and Microsoft Word, consultation with Health Information Services, and maintaining the Clinical Forms Catalogue on QHEPS.
  • Maintain personal accountability for work delivery, timelines, and communicating risks or blockers proactively.
  • Actively participate as a member of a team, maintain cooperative relationships, and can adapt to change and contribute to quality improvement activities as a part of the Data Analytics and Custom Solutions service.
  • Other duties related to the Data Analytics and Custom Solutions service as delegated by the line manager.
