Switchboard Supervisor

As the Switchboard Supervisor you will support the efficient operation of the CHQ HHS switchboard service by providing service, guidance, support and mentoring to the staff and providing the business requirements in 24 x 7 environment. Children's Health Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CHQ HHS) is a recognised leader in paediatric healthcare, teaching and research. About the Team

The Queensland Children's Hospital Switchboard is a dynamic team who provide courteous and professional switchboard services to staff and customers of the hospital. This is a 24/7 service.

About the Role

In this role you will coach and support others to deliver for children, young people and families (Leader of Others) in accordance with the Children's Health Queensland Leadership Excellence Framework and the Queensland Public Service and the CHQ values. Your contribution will include:  

  • Perform the functions of operator of QCH Switchboard and provide after-hours supervision for switchboard, ensuring a professional, efficient, knowledgeable, courteous 24-hour service is delivered to stakeholders, clients and the public
  • Commitment and contribution to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health equity reform, to Close the Gap by 2033, as underpinned by the CHQ Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Equity Strategy 2022 – 2025.
