Paediatric Registrar in the role of a Research Registrar in Immunology and Allergy
South Brisbane
We are looking for a dedicated registrar to assist in the delivery of clinical trials to children with various immunological and allergic conditions within the Queensland Paediatric Immunology and Allergy Service (QPIAS). You will demonstrate commitment to evidence-based practice, research and good clinical practice, completing the role of sub-investigator on a range of clinical trials. In this role, you'll be helping to improve outcomes for children while developing your own expertise in paediatric immunology, allergy, and neurodevelopment.

About the Role
- Develop your own professional skills in immunology and allergy and specific knowledge and skills of clinical research within the multidisciplinary team of medical, nursing, psychology and trial staff that encompass the research arm of QPIAS.
- Undertake regular assessment and performance review, actively participate in unit and facility based educational programs and meet mandatory training requirements.
- Model professionalism with respect to confidentiality, patient dignity, effective communication at primary patient care level and with staff, and the completion/maintenance of accurate and comprehensive medical records.
- Contribute to a culture evoking the highest standards in delivering good clinical practice with regards to clinical trials
- Provide clinical services and planning of clinical support for clients assigned under his/her management, within the trials.
- Promote the ethical protection and safety of children in all activities and to contribute to the activities of the centre.
- Ensure appropriate and concise documentation of medical records, completion of timely reports and letters.
- Ensure appropriate consultation and communication with professional staff, patients and their families for advising on and implementing major decisions for care in accordance with good clinical practice and NHMRC practice principles.
- Undertake an evidence-based quality review project or research activity under the guidance of his/her supervisor for publication and/or peer-review presentation on this activity.
